(Worthy Satire) – A Georgia teacher has reportedly created a classroom “fart corner,” giving students a designated place to pass gas without missing valuable learning time.
School officials praised the idea as “innovative,” “inclusive,” and “something we will never mention on a college application.”
The corner, located near a window and far from the teacher’s desk, allows students to quietly handle “internal weather events” while remaining academically engaged.
One student said the new system has brought peace to the classroom.
“Before, nobody knew who did it,” he said. “Now there’s accountability.”
Parents were divided. Some called it practical. Others worried it could lead to copycat programs, including “burp benches,” “sneeze stations,” and an advanced-placement course in blame-shifting.
Administrators say the policy is already reducing hallway traffic, increasing honesty, and giving new meaning to the phrase “silent reading.”
At press time, the school was applying for federal funding under a new initiative called “No Child Left Unventilated.”
The fart corner gives students a place to pass gas without leaving class — and helps normalize a very normal bodily function. https://t.co/dVsGGaKJiN
