WASHINGTON, D.C. (Worthy Satire) – The FBI has raised the alarm over a surge in AI-generated voice messages impersonating top U.S. officials—urging Americans to “donate now” for causes ranging from saving democracy to funding Chuck Schumer’s lost iPad charger.
“These calls are disturbingly convincing,” said Assistant Director Carl Denson. “We had one with AI Biden saying, ‘Folks, it’s donation time—anything helps, even the title to your car.’
Targets have reported receiving eerily accurate messages from voices mimicking Kamala Harris, Barack Obama, and even a suspiciously chipper-sounding Mitch McConnell. In one case, an AI generated Nancy Pelosi asked for Bitcoin “to help fight climate change and maybe buy a new wine fridge.”
The most convincing call came from a fake AI Trump voice saying, “It’s time to give. I’m talking HUGE donations. The biggest. Send now—Venmo, Zelle, gold bars, whatever works.”
Alarmingly, several AI clones have begun targeting churches, claiming, “This is Jesus—and I approve this message. Sow your seed, reap your reward, and get a limited-edition Messiah mug.”
The FBI is warning Americans to hang up immediately if a call starts with, “Hi, I’m from the government, and I need your credit card.”
Officials insist this advisory is not an attack on freedom or democracy—just on poorly disguised scams.
