(Worthy Satire) – In a rare glimpse behind the curtains of power, a hot mic picked up Russian President Vladimir Putin and China’s President Xi Jinping musing about organ transplants and the prospect of living to 150—or longer.
“These days, 70 years old you’re still a child,” Xi observed, apparently redefining the midlife crisis as something that begins after your centennial birthday.
Putin chimed in with his own biological optimism: “Biotechnology is continuously developing… human organs can be continuously transplanted. The longer you live, the younger you become and you can even achieve immortality.”
Observers quickly noted that immortality via spare parts would likely keep Putin’s photo ops topless well into the 23rd century, while Xi could celebrate his 125th birthday still reminding the world that China has “5,000 years of history.”
Critics, however, questioned whether replacing organs solves the deeper issue. “You can swap kidneys all day long,” one analyst said, “but it won’t cure authoritarianism.”
In the end, the two leaders reportedly agreed on one practical goal: they just needed to outlive Trump.
