Dumpster Python Rescued from Becoming LA’s Next Street BBQ Special

(Worthy Satire) – In what could only be described as “National Geographic meets dumpster diving,” a reptile hunter in Los Angeles found himself waist-deep in a garbage bin Tuesday, pulling out a 16-foot python that had allegedly been laying low to avoid a far more dangerous predator: hungry, grill-equipped locals.

Witnesses say the snake had slithered into the apartment building dumpster to hide from a group of homeless amateur chefs who were “already debating marinade options” and Googling ‘best sides for giant snake.’

The python’s rescue reportedly took 40 minutes, during which the hunter was mistaken for a raccoon by at least three residents and offered half a bagel by a concerned neighbor.

The snake is now safe at a local reptile sanctuary, where it will be “rehabilitated, rehydrated, and hopefully learn to stop picking the sketchiest Airbnbs possible.”

The homeless grill team, meanwhile, has moved on to more traditional urban prey: the suspiciously large pigeon that hangs out by the bus stop.
