Elon Musk Confirms ‘X Money’ Beta–Experts Say It’s Like Dogecoin, But With Less Value and More Vibes

(Worthy Satire) – In a stunning announcement that left economists confused and Dogecoin investors nostalgic, Elon Musk confirmed that the long-rumored “X Money” has entered beta testing ahead of a full launch in 2025. The cryptocurrency, which some insiders describe as “Dogecoin’s spiritually confused cousin,” is reportedly backed by nothing except Musk’s tweets and a GIF of a Shiba Inu wearing sunglasses.

“X Money is the future of finance,” Musk tweeted while simultaneously selling flamethrowers, launching a satellite, and livestreaming himself drinking Soylent. “It’s money, but… not in the traditional sense.”

Early users report that X Money can’t be used to buy anything yet, but it does generate a short dopamine hit when transferred between accounts–especially if you add a rocket emoji.

Asked if it had real-world value, Musk replied, “Define real.”

Meanwhile, crypto experts are calling it “the most ambitious non-currency currency since Beanie Babies.” Some say the only tangible thing about X Money is the existential crisis it triggers in financial analysts.

When asked what makes X Money different from Dogecoin, Musk explained, “Dogecoin was a meme. X Money is a meme with ambition.”

The World Economic Forum has issued a statement welcoming the innovation, saying it “perfectly aligns with the future we imagine: where people own nothing, not even money, and still pretend to be rich.”

Plans for Phase Two reportedly include X Credit, X Mortgage, and a premium service called X Bankruptcy.

Stay tuned. Or don’t. It’s all probably fake anyway.
